About the maker
Neema Leparmarai
Color you can hear.
What we make
Maasai-inspired beaded jewelry and hammered silver pieces, strung by the sea in Ukunda.
Why we make it
To give the women in my family a steady income and turn our bead language into something travellers can wear home.
How it's made
Every bracelet, collar and earring is hand-strung on waxed nylon with Czech glass beads and recycled silver from Mombasa workshops.
